Father, Mother, and Daughter Searching For Successful Treatment of Ailments Using Chiropractic Treatment In Costa Mesa
My family had never made chiropractic care part of our normal medical routine, the entire time I was growing up. That changed, however, when my dad started having trouble with his back seizing up. I chose to join as well when he sought the care of a doctor of chiropractic and received such great results. Participating in cheerleading and gymnastics when I was in high school at that time, the strain caused pain in my neck and back. Chiropractic Care In Orange County
Nearly ten years later, I am still under the care of a chiropractic doctor. I graduated from college and moved a few hours away from my hometown, and I knew that I would need to find someone quickly in order to continue my chiropractic care on a monthly basis. Dr. Candice McCowin, DC at Great Life Chiropractic in Costa Mesa was highly recommended by a couple of co-workers when I asked around at my new job to see if anyone knew of a great chiropractor.
From there, chiropractic care was something my entire family preferred. Due to sciatica, my mom suffered great discomfort. The pain in the backs of her legs made it difficult for her to stand very long. This made life difficult for her, since she worked full-time in my parents’ retail store, and standing to assist customers and ring up sales each day was a big part of the job description.
Mom had taken several days off to visit me in Orange County, and she mentioned that she had not been feeling well. Squeezing Mom in her busy schedule, we have learned from Dr. McCowin that sciatica is a symptom which often shows up as leg pain. It might be nothing more than a strong cramp in the leg, or it can be an absolutely excruciating, shooting pain that makes it impossible for the victim to sit or stand. Barely able to find a comfortable position, whether she was sitting or standing, was the way Mom had been feeling.
While Dr. McCowin took Mom’s medical history, she explained that the pain is more intense when sitting, sneezing, or coughing sometimes. She said that sciatica can either occur suddenly or develop slowly. Sometimes, patients report feeling weakness, numbness, or the sensation of burning or tingling in the leg or toes.
Mom nodded her head “yes” to each bit of information as the doctor spoke. In order to continue treatment, she was excited to put her care for feeling all of these symptoms in Dr. McCowin’s hands despite driving a couple of hours from my hometown to Costa Mesa.
Because of the results that we have seen, I recommend chiropractic care to everyone that I know. Chiropractic Treatment In Costa Mesa
